In 2015, this mural was donated and shipped to the Joslyn Castle Trust in Omaha, Nebraska for restoration.\u00a0On June 16, 2016 the public was\u00a0invited to an unveiling celebration of the mural at the Omaha&#8217;s old downtown Public Library. The old library was demolished in 2019, and a more modern facility was constructed on 72nd Street. On April 15th, 2026, the Kingman\/NY Times mural was unveiled at the new Public Library. The following picture shows the mural on display in the Library&#8217;s Technology Room.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/eugenekingman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Mural-in-Technology-Room.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1944\" src=\"https:\/\/eugenekingman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Mural-in-Technology-Room.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"752\" height=\"1002\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eugenekingman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Mural-in-Technology-Room.png 752w, https:\/\/eugenekingman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Mural-in-Technology-Room-225x300.png 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 752px) 100vw, 752px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>An article in the <a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Eugene-Kingman-mural-to-hang-in-Omaha-Central-Library.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Omaha World Herald<\/a> describes the unveiling ceremony for the newly-hung mural. The following picture shows Eugene Kingman&#8217;s grandson, Quinlan Kingman Eddy and Kingman&#8217;s daughter, Mixie Kingman Eddy (pictured in the middle), with members of &#8220;the &#8220;Women of the Mural&#8221; Committee: Amy Trenolone, Amy Richardson, Maureen Waldron, Julie Cobb, and Lyn Ziegenbein, who did an amazing job with organizing, raising funds, and making this Kingman\/New York Times mural event possible at Omaha&#8217;s Public Library. November 14th, 2025 to January 2, 2026. The show included prints, lithographs and etchings, and drawings using graphite, ink and black lithography crayon. Kingman was an excellent draftsman and a very good lithographer and etcher, so the prints and drawings in this show were outstanding. The gallery will showcase Kingman&#8217;s paintings and graphic works, with seasonal rotations. Dale Clark Main Library. Our \u201cA Night with Eugene Kingman\u201d will take a closer look his life, from his tenure as a mural\/lithography instructor at the Rhode Island School of Design, to his New Deal-era post office murals and National Parks Service 1931 Paris Expo Commission, to his time as a high-level wartime cartographer for the pre-cursor to the CIA.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees will get a rare opportunity to view original Eugene Kingman artworks on loan for the evening from private collections. Maureen Waldron, historian and chairwoman of the NYT Mural Steering Committee, will deliver a presentation that celebrates his life and contributions. The Kingman daughters (Elizabeth Anne Kingman and Mixie Kingman Eddy), grandson, Quinlan Kingman Eddy, and nephew, Lou Kingman, were present.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>CELEBRATING THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE CENTENNIAL<br \/>CENTURY of DESIGN In The NATIONAL PARKS SYMPOSIUM in SANTA FE, NM<br \/>June 21, 2016\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Eugene Kingman&#8217;s seven National Park paintings for the 1931 Paris Expo <\/strong>were displayed\u00a0in a\u00a0poster presentation during this special Symposium on June 20-25, 2016 in Santa Fe. \u00a0This poster, designed by Eugene Kingman&#8217;s eldest daughter, Mixie Kingman Eddy, features paintings of \u00a0popular national parks: (Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Grand Canyon, Sequoia, Mt. Rainier, Crater Lake, and Yosemite).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Back in 1931 HORACE M. ALBRIGHT, the Director of the\u00a0<\/span>National Park Service, commissioned Eugene Kingman to paint large oil paintings of seven popular national parks, which were sent to Paris to be <span class=\"s2\">displayed during the 1931 Paris Expo. Albright wanted to attract\u00a0<\/span>Europeans to visit and experience first-hand America\u2019s treasured natural wonders.
